2008 Summer Schedule
What
should you expect?
Good food, served family style, a comfortable, yet portable and lightweight camp with two-man roomy sleeping tents; a summer kitchen consisting of a dinning fly, cooking stoves, tables and chairs. A mountain wise and gentle saddle horse, picked especially for this type of work and equipped with good serviceable saddles, will be assigned to you for the duration of the trip. Wilderness Outfitters will provide you with an equipment list to use as a guideline in making final plans for your trip. |
A wilderness pack trip is an unforgettable experience. The ringing of the bells on the horses grazing near camp provides an unusual musical background as you enjoy the crackling campfire and the evening breeze. The aroma of coffee and hot chocolate, frying bacon and hot cakes awakens you in the morning. You rise to a crisp new day with dew on the grass and the sparkling streams teeming with trout waiting for you. All this and much more make up the memories from a good wilderness pack trip. We would appreciate the opportunity of sharing them with you. Let Montana be your next vacation! |

SUN RIVER CHINESE WALL - FALL HIGH ADVENTURE TRIP
Come with us .... to enjoy the beautiful colors in the high mountain valleys as fall arrives in Montana on the East Front of the Rocky Mountains. Come with us .... to observe the bull elk and hear their mating call; see mountain goats scale the Chinese Wall on the Continental Divide and watch mule and Whitetail deer in their fall habitat among the yellow aspen and red huckleberry. |
Take the opportunity .... to enjoy some excellent fall fishing. Catch native west slope cutthroat and the beautiful rainbow trout in the cold clear mountain streams. The North Fork and the South Fork of the beautiful Sun River await you for your fishing pleasure. Take advantage .... to enjoy the first fall snow storms while in our comfortable, heated camp and see the white capped mountain peaks of the Northern Rockies. |
These trips provide us with outstanding wildlife photography opportunities, the thrill of hearing the bull elk bugle, good fall fishing and the challenge of the unexpected. Weather can be beautiful, as you may have fall Indian summer days or early snow in the high country. This is an eco-friendly alternative to trophy big game hunting. Here the trophies are in our memories and on photographs. The bull elk and mountain goats still roam free among the mountain peaks and aspen covered valley floors. |
