Fish for Native Cutthroat in THE BOB MARSHALL WILDERNESS For nearly forty years we have been privileged to guide and outfit select parties of sportsmen who enjoy the opportunity of getting into the wilderness - and enjoy the opportunity for outstanding fly fishing in the Bob Marshall's "blue ribbon" trout streams.The South Fork of the Flathead River is one of the top rivers in the U.S. for West Slope cutthroat trout.  Fishing in the Bob Marshall Wilderness is a special experience as you will have very little or no competition and beautiful scenery is awaiting you at every turn.  For the most part, streams are wide, easy to walk with banks consisting of gravel and sand.  Water is crystal clear and you can easily see your trout take your fly.  In Smoke's words, "You have to stand behind a tree to put your fly on the line, or you will catch your limit before you even wet a fly."  We strongly recommend catch and release of these beautiful 15-18" native cutthroat trout!

In order to access the best fishing in the Bob Marshall Wilderness Complex, we suggest a minimum of seven or eight days for your trip.  We fish the South Fork of the Flathead, all of its tributaries such as Youngs Creek, the Danaher, White River (native cutthroat) and the Sun River and its tributaries on the east side of the Divide (native cutthroat and rainbow).
